Motorcycle Repair: 1991 FXSTS, wrinkle paint, power washer

Question
Greetings Friend,
I have 1991 1340 stock Springer. I noticed the fins on the cylinders are chipped.  I under stand there is paint to touch-up the places where silver shows.  I wouldn't exactly call it wrinkle, but it looks slightly textured, not smooth by any means. I know the bike has to be very clean. Can I use a brush? Will it stick? Next I use to take my 2004 roadking to car wash and use a power washer. Some people not to do this.  I never had a problem and I would stay off the top of the bike.  Is it ok use a power washer at the car wash with say 409 or Simple Green to get the oil off?  Thank you.

Answer
That paint is wrinkle paint. It should be sprayed on, since it has to go on heavy to wrinkle. It will stick as long as the cylinder is clean and dry.
On your other bike. I dont recommend using a power washer. Pressure can force water past seals and gaskets
Good luck and happy riding
