Motorcycle Repair: sportster wont turn over, starter relay?, starter relay, starter button

Hi
My sporty has been sitting for a while, started up fine but all of a sudden now when I hit the ignition button "nothing" happens. no starter click, nothing. Then randomly it will start. If i jump start it down a hill it kicks over and runs. was hoping for your input before I start replacing parts. could it just be the ignition switch? or the relay itself..

Use a test light and check on both sides of the starter button. One, to make sure you have power and two to make sure you have power goign to the starter relay. If you have power going to the relay and no start then the relay is probably bad
