Answer
Ken, Im not sure how to answer this one but here goes. You may be experiencing a loss of fuel such as a restricted fuel filter or fuel pump. I just recently (last week) had a bike with a similar problem. It was a 48 state bike but had a California gas cap on it from the factory which caused it to vapor lock and lose powere until it set the the pressures equalized and the owner could drive it a short distance untill it happened again. There could even be a plugged tank vent. See if it will run ok with the tank cap open. Be careful not to slosh it over or you may have a mobil fire bomb. Or you may end up with a raw crotch if it blows out on you while riding. If you can pull the spark plugs and look to see if one is worse, make sure to use NGK and go one step hotter by going one number lower. Example if bike has BR8E then go to a BR7E. What you are trying to do is isolate the problem so it will be easier to fix.
