Motorcycle Repair: Honda CL 125A Exhaust, header pipes, cb125

Question
I have a 1969 125 twin in good condition, I feel the motor will be ok it roles over good oil in it looks fine, but no compression due to cam chain missing or down in motor, have not pulled apart yet to find out for sure.  My Crome is good on rims.  bike i feel was a decent deal but well you guessed it the exhaust is missing.  I am finding out that is a hard item to find.  I really don't want to chunk out 600 EU to get the only one I have found so far that is more than I payed for the bike, but I did see an message board saying the first year of the 175 and 160 twins were compatible? really not sure and not worrying about keeping original till I get this thing running. any suggestions on where to find one or any modules I can make fit, I have mig welder so if just bracket placement is issue I can deal with that
I have a new cam chain in now so it won't be long I will take the engine down and cheek out what is going on with the chain.  well anyway just gathering data for now and getting ideas thanks for you help

Answer
Robert, while there was a version of the CB125 which used the 125A series engine in the 160 chassis, the engines are not similar in the exhaust size, bore centerlines and port angles. The CL125A engine is a "side cam" while the CB160 and early slant motor CL175s have a center camchain drive, so there is more space between the cylinders on the 160-175.

IF you are a good welder, then you can probably reuse the header pipes and adapt some small Scrambler type muffler up to the chassis.
