Question
Bike will start and run. Once it gets hot, it shuts down....I let it cool for 10 minutes and the process repeats over and over. Mechanic thinks it's a fuel problem---not sure---I've replaced the rectifier, thermostat, sensor---fan works well but the compression drops, it sputters and stops DEAD---what could be causing this problem----and yes, carbs were cleaned etc----HELP CAUSE I'M READY TO SHOOT AND BURY THIS HORSE....THANKS IN ADVANCE----ANYTHING U COME UP WITH MIGHT HELP

Answer
Hi Len,
You should be able to confirm or exclude the fuel system with a can of carb spray cleaner. When it dies and won't start see if it will start when spraying a bit of carb cleaner into the airbox with the filter removed. It may be an ignition module issue, there are lots of variables to consider here.

Terry.
