Motorcycle Repair: 2002 crf 450r, honda shop, cr450f

Question
hello. ive asked you a few questions in the past about my 2002 crf 450r. so I took it to the local honda shop to get the carb cleaned and they also had to adjust my valves and replace my air filter, but they got the bike running. it had sooo much more compression and felt to crisp i was so pumped. its really hard to start now, about 4x harder to kick over. well it ran for the first 3 days after getting it back i started it every day and for the past 2 days i havent been able to start the bike? I think something in the carb is out of adjustment cuz when it was running it would die very easy like id come up to a stop sign and the bike would just die on me, and sometimes when i warmed up the bike as soon as id turn the choke off it would just die aswell? i dont know whats wrong but they charged me 75 for parts and 325 for labor, so 400 dollars in and i cant start the bike? and it sucks to ride cuz it dies so much? what do i do should i go to a different shop? the bike ran great all last summer and now its a lot harder to start and dies super easy? im very unhappy? thanks for any help Nick

Answer
Nick, Its possible that the mix is to lean or the idle to slow. We have a 2004 cr450f and it has a built in decompression  device on the cam to aid in starting. I am wondering if its not adjusted right when they did the valves. I had to put in some Hot Cams on other units and they ran almost .008" on the intake and .011" on the exhaust. It did increase the compression a little but the decompression device on the cam lowers it while you are kicking it over untill it fires. I think I would complain to the shop before to much time passes or they wont warranty their work.
