after getting bike running after 18years it is running smoothly ..
bill silver sent me to a site csmnl.com and looking at their carburettors they have a seal called a vacuum seal stopper in the keihin 14h model. i know this will sound strange but when i got this bike if never had this in the carbs .....my questions please is what does it do ..is it important ....and can you tell me dimensions of said stopper please...theres bugger all room under the vacuum cylinder ...many thanks

Hi Bruce,
I do see a vacuum set air cutout (valve) when I check the diagram at this link. I didn't see the vacuum stopper you mention, perhaps it is this part.

They are important, normally it will not run correctly without these.
