I recently replaced the seals in the front shocks on my 1997 suzuki marauder vz800 and now they are weak feeling can they be adjusted to be tighter if so how

Did you have a reference manual or guide to disassemble/reassemble the forks? If you have not added enough fork oil they will exhibit the weakness you describe. If any trash or dirt entered the fork tube or slider while it was apart this will clog the valves/oil passages internally. As for the adjustments you will need to consult a manual; it will describe the forks, assembly/tear-down in more detail and provide you with fluid quantity information needed for each fork.
