Motorcycle Repair: 65 dream, bud bud, bill silver

fairing   I just bought a 65 dream to restore. Looks like ca77. It has this huge fairing that the headlamp was removed and inserted in the huge ugle fairing. Seller says it a factory assesory.Darnedest thing I ever seen. Should I keep it on the bike and restore it too? Thank you sir...

Bud, It isn't from Honda. I have the Honda accy catalogs from that era and have never seen that lumpy thing before. My first thought is that it may be from Wixom Company. You see fairings like that from Brit and/or German manufacturers who were concerned about weatherproofing the rider.

I have restoration guide CDs for Dream which include all the catalogs and parts books you can imagine... but that fairing isn't in it!
