Motorcycle Repair: camshaft, stock pipes, thunderheader

QUESTION: i just installed a cam in my 95 electraglide (andrews ev27), now i have a sound coming from my carb (mikuni hsr42) at low idle, sounds like im getting breather pressure through carb. all marks are lined up on cam and breather gear,it just dosent sound right, bike runs great what could be creating this sound?

ANSWER: What exhaust are you running and did you rejett the carb?

If you are getting breather pressure through the carb you should see a puff of gas coming out. Pull your plugs and take a look at them. If they are black then you are running to rich. White and to lean. I would suspect that you need to rejet. Also, check your timing. To far advanced and you will have the same problem.
