Motorcycle Repair: running motor without oil filter, kawasaki ninja 250, bill silver

I have a 99 kawasaki ninja 250 with a motor from a 98 ninja 250 installed what I want to findout is if a motor without a oil filter would cause the bike not to start and if it doesnt what will happened just asking a question

Dunno about baby Ninjas. Why would you want to start an engine with no oil filter? It would be damaged quickly without oil pressure.

Sometimes, manufacturers can incorporate an circuit that keeps the engine from firing up if there is no oil pressure, but I doubt it is part of the Kawi ignition system.

Check for all the ingredients... fuel air spark compression....

Followup...  Any decent spark will fire the motor. CDI ignitions usually give a white-ish spark. Carb synch won't keep it from starting. Usually the idle jets are plugged up from sitting.
