Motorcycle Repair: old Honda 50cc, cycle salvage, c102

Question

  I bought a older Honda That says it a 50 on sticker under seat.Number on frame C102-C052148. Trying to find out what year so me and my son can begin working on it.Key is missing but is in forward direction not sure if can be started without key. Battery missing. Thanks Phil

Philip, The bike appears to be a C102 Super Cub made from 1960 - 1962 they came in white,scarlet red/white blue/white black/white. The battery might be a 6N6-3B. The key might be a problem finding,try Steves Cycle Salvage in Tifton Ga. 1-800-622-9253 they have about 7 acres of new and used parts and have contact with 100 other yards.
