Motorcycle Repair: brake light, brake switch, brakes

My 2007 SOFTAIL brake light will not come on unless I jam rear pedal all the way down. I do need new pads,and wondering if this could cause light to not engage . The front will not engage at all. Any help would be great....Thanks

Your rear brake switch is probably weak and needs replaced. Once replaced make sure you bleed the brakes. On the front, check to see if you have power going to the switch. If you do then that switch is probably bad as well
