how do I adjust my clutch for a 1990 Harley Davidson ultra classic

Try pulling the boot on the cable in front of the engine,slide it down and loosen the lock nut.Remove the derby cover on the left side and there will be a 11/16 nut and allen bolt in the center of the clutch. Loosen the nut and unscrew the bolt about two turns. Now turn it back in untill you feel resistance then tighten the nut but do not let the bolt turn. Put the derby cover back on you may need a new gasket or o-ring which ever you have. Now take the cable you loosened and back the housing apart so that you have about a nickles gap at the front edge of the clutch lever. Now tighten the nut and slip the rubber sleeve over the joint. This should work for you now.
