Motorcycle Repair: intake boots 1975 Honda cb200t, motorcycle salvage yards, air intake filters

Question
I have some pretty large cracks in my connectors (from the air filter to the carbs) but I cannot find anywhere to buy replacements. Since I'm currently lacking a manual, I'm not sure if boots from another make/model will fit properly.

Instead of hoping the answer is in the manual that'll arrive a few weeks from now, I'm desperately searching the internet for help.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Michael

Answer
Hi Michael,

The air filter tubes have been discontinued
by Honda and they are one of a kind unfortunately.

If it was mine I would look for a used pair
through motorcycle salvage yards or
build up or patch the old ones with some
rad hose or goop adhesive.

A used set like this comes up on ebay occasionally:

Last resort might be some pod type filters
but they will require you to increase your
carbs main and idle jet sizes.
The CB200T runs too lean without the stock air boxes
and will not run well without increasing the fuel mixture.

Try these guys for new tubes, they might have them yet:

Good luck!
