Motorcycle Repair: XLCH Headlight, car wash, good luck

Question
I have a 1975 XLCH. Whenever the bike gets wet ( as from rain or car wash ) the Headlight comes on regardless of the position of the ingnition switch or headlight switch. The headlight stays on even with the ignition switch on the off position.

The only way to turn the light off is to disconnect the battery.

Ever seen this problem before ?
Any idea what causes the problem ?

Never seen this before, but what is happening is you have a connection getting wet and holding water. The water is causing a circuit and making the light come on. You will have to get the bike wet so it comes on and then start tracing the wires to find the short
