Motorcycle Repair: cam change, leak oil, steep grades

Question
I have a 1995 FLSTC stock except for high flow air cleaner, shimmed jet in carb. The bike has 53,000 miles and doesn't burn or leak oil. Lately my wife rides more and more with me and it wants for power on steep grades. My local dealer suggested a cam change and performance super trap mufflers. He said the 2 into 1 super traps are not an option because I have saddle bags. I'm wondering if this is worth it and will I notice the power difference? Currently, I have approx 58 HP. Also, will the cam change harm or expedite engine wear.

Answer
I would suggest changing the carb to a S&S, changing the exhaust to a tuned exhaust and change the cam. On the cam I would go with a Andrews EV 23. All the above would give you around 10 more horse, more throttle responce and make the bike pull better
Good luck and happy riding
