keihin carb
Hi,

I'm hoping either you or someone else can possibly answer my question.

I was told that this carb would fit early 70s Honda CB360 G5 and CJ360 motorcycles. It might also fit a Honda CB360T.

Would you be able to verify that.  Also, is there any way I can tell (possibly by doing something to the carb itself) to check if it would actually be functional or not without putting it on a motorcycle (which I don't have)?

Answer
Tina, the carbs are definitely from the 1974-76 CB/CL360 series bikes. The CJ360s had a 759A carb set.

IF you remove the float bowls and the carb tops to check for damage/corrosion you will have a better idea of their potential to be functioning units when attached to a bike. If the diaphragms on the slides (on top) are torn or have pinholes then they are no good. If the carb jets are all plugged up with old varnished gasoline deposits, they will have to be cleaned and the o-rings/packings would need to be replaced.
