how to check trans fluid on a 1999 suzuki marauder motorcycle

Is this the 250 model if so the transmission and crankcase oil are the same.The sight glass is on the lower portion of the right crankcase cover, A small window to see the oil in when the bike is off and standing straight up you should see the oil about 1/2 to 3/4 full in the window.
