Motorcycle Repair: ignition coil compatibility, kawasaki zr750, coil tester

I would like to know if the ignition coils off of a 91 kawasaki zr750 will work on my 78 kz650?

My coil tester just hooks up to the wires and fires it. If the coils mounting bolts work and the power wire plug in it should. Some of the coils have more than 1 wire make sure its not a ground and you create a dead short. Both are a 12 volt system component as long as it clears.
