Motorcycle Repair: 03 Sportster XLH1200 intermittent starting problem, spark plug wires, process of elimination

Question
The scenario:  I turn on the key, flip the run/stop switch, hit the start button.  The bike sometimes will fire right up sometimes it just turns over like no spark, and other times it will act like it fires once then just turns over like no spark.  I know I am getting fuel.  I have a stage 1 kit in it.

Answer
Try a process of elimination.Pull the spark plug wires and attatch the plugs and ground them. Try to start the bike several times and see if you have spark every time.If you dont there may be an ignition problem. If you do have spark every time then it may come down to a fuel or timing issue. The carb may need some fine tuning.
