Motorcycle Repair: help, left hand side, pulse generator

i have a cb650 1980 i have been working on the bike sence i got it i'm having a problem with getting spark on the out side two.... the two inners fire just fine so i tryed swopping the coils  around and its still just fire on the in side two some reason on the left hand side as sitting on the bike there is power going to the coil.... checked with test light just not coming out.

Brandon,Im not sure but it sounds like the pulse generator is not sending the firing signal to the coils. 1 coils get a fire signal the other just gets power.The pulse generator is on the end of the crank behind the left cover.The part number for a Honda is 30300-426-154 its about $105.00 so check it out first before spending the money. Some of the ignition parts are no longer available from Honda.
