Motorcycle Repair: VFR 750 F 1997 bearing removal, honda 750 f, clutch plates

Question
Hi Gary, I need to remove a bearing on the honda 750 F. This particular bearing in behind the clutch plates, You have to remove a small guard to kinda release it, I can't really explain it any better than that. the shaft that drives the oil pump is attached to it. The only way I can see to remove it is to crack the engine open and thats the last thing I want to do. Is there any other way I can get round this???

Regards

David

Answer
I could be out in left field on this one. The brg on the main shaft behind the clutch, if memory serves me right we had to split the cases to pull the brg from inside. They are pressed into the case and then assemble the case halves over the shafts slipping the shafts through the brgs.I dont have my shop manual in front of me.
