Motorcycle Repair: turn signal, turn signal flasher, custom signal

I am trying to put custom signal lights on my honda shadow sprit 750, but when we connected them there were only 2 wires on the lights and 3 on the bike. In the process it keeps blowing the fuse for my tail light. I think it has now blow the turn signal flasher and i do not know where it is to see if i can find a replacement part, can you tell me where it is located, or where i can get the correct part number for it

I"ll try, you don't have a year but some of these bikes used a 3 wire system on the front signals because the two front turn indicators doubled as driving lights,thus the ground wire the flasher wire and the main power wire for the driving indicator light. The rear will only have a 2 wire set up. The fuses might be in the main relay on the left side of the bike under the left side cover. There may even be a plastic snap lid over there that will say fuse.
