Motorcycle Repair: Cm450e carb, fuel leaks, spigots

I took the carbs out and cleaned them using carb cleaner.  After reinstalling them and reconnecting the fuel, fuel leaks out of two little spigots on the inside of the carbs.  The spigots are about 1/4" long and maybe an 1/8" in diameter.  Nothing connects to them why are they spewing fuel?

Yes you did not clean the carbs properly.  The floats are either stuck, or the needle valve is dirty allowing fuel to flow when the floats are supposed to be controlling the fuel flow.  Check the carbs again, paying attention to the floats and the needle valves.  Make sure they are connected to the floats correctly, and check the float height at the same time.  Good luck,  Jan
