Motorcycle Repair: 1975 Honda cb750 four supersport, cb 750 four, honda cb750 four

Question
When I bought my CB 750 four the headlight was working fine. I tried to charge the battery and believe i blew a fuse or a fusible link. I know for a fact that the headlight isn't blown cause I tested it, and all the other lights on the bike work fine. I was just wondering if you could tell me where I can find the fuse or fusible link for the headlight.

Answer
Hi David,

You should have one fuse for the headlight
in the fusebox. If you check the
fuses and they are all okay then
I suspect your problem might be inside
the starter button switch.

When the starter button is depressed
it disconnects the headlight to save
power for the starter.

When you let go of the starter button
it should reconnect the power to the
headlight.

Probably some dirty contacts inside
the starter button.

If not, check your headlight ground wire
and other fuses for bad contacts.
Then start checking wires for breaks.

Good luck,
Wayne S.
