Motorcycle Repair: rear cylinder not getting gas on 1200 sportster, rear cylinder, petcock

I start my 96 1200 sportster every other week in the winter i tried recently and let it warm up noticed rear cylinder not firing checked plug it is firing but plug was dry like not getting gas front cylinder is fine checked intake seems tight any ideas

First, its not a good idea to start your bike like that in the winter. When a motor cools it draws moisture. When you start it you have to let it run long enough to drive the moisture out. At around 30 degrees that would take about 20 minutes of sitting there idleing. Your better off starting the bike and shuting the petcock, let it run and let the carb go dry. Put a battery tender on the battery..
How do you know your cylinder is not firing? The only way the cylinder would not get any fuel is if the piston was not moving up or down, a valve is stuc open or the intake is plugged.
