Motorcycle Repair: 1976 Honda 360T, honda 360t, stator rotor

Question
Bill --  1976 Honda 360T:  Have oil leaking into the rotor/stator mechanism on the left side of the motor.  Am assuming there is a seal/bearing in there that is leaking. Have a Clymer Repair Handbook, but there are no directions about how to get to the leak. Other than cleaning the oil out of the problem area, haven't taken anything apart.  Would appreciate any ideas and suggestions??  Thanks -- RB

Answer
RB... there is no leak. All the 160-175-350-360 and 450 DOHC motors run an oil-cooled stator/rotor.

All you have to do is to make sure that the dyno cover gasket, engine cover gasket and o-rings are all in good order. The rest is OEM design.
