Motorcycle Repair: repainting, Sportbike, paint job

I'm thinking of repainting the plastics on my 2003 Yamaha yzf-600r not an r6. I've been trying to find out if my bike has a tank cover or an actual tank and to use this to determine to have it professionally repainted and save me the trouble of draining the tank

Hey Lance,Yea your bike should have came with a fuel tank with no cover.With my experience over the years I believe having it professionally painted is the best option.If you shop around you should find someone to do it for a little over $300.Good Luck,David
