Motorcycle Repair: 1982 Honda cb450sc, starter solenoid, starter button

Question
I bought this bike that had been sitting for 15 years. Some rust, gas tank is being cleaned out and slight dent taken out, carbs removed and cleaned out. I cannot get power, no lights , no horn , no starter button. Bike will crank and run by bypassing starter button with starter solenoid. Checked for continuity thru all connections. How do you test rectifier? and do you have any other ideas on where the problem may be?

Answer
Beth,

http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb450sc-nighthawk-450-1982-usa_model456/partslist/F++...   #36 is a master fuse that plugs into #18 on top of the solenoid.  There are two types used back then.. either a fusible link )----( shaped piece of metal or a plug in fuse, as shown.
