Motorcycle Repair: Main Jet, intermediate jet, turs

QUESTION: Hi Mike,I'm runnig a bendix on my 66xlch.It starts easy and I have only ran it up the street through 3 gears and the plugs look pretty black. (gas)Does anyone make a main jet .085 or smaller? The bike is new to me and I don't want to get stuck on the road with fouled plugs. It has a .095 main jet in now. Adustment is about 1and a half turs out.  Thanks Dave

ANSWER: has it always fouled the plugs since you have had it?

QUESTION: It hasn't fouled the plugs yet but I haven't had the bike long enough or driven it far enough to find out,I don't want to get stuck out on the road. That is why I'm asking if there is a smaller jet then the .090 main jet. I'll take it out and see if they clear up and if you don't here from me it was just me panicking, Thanks

You need to do a OHMs test ont he coil and plug wires to makes sure they are good. If they are weak they will cause the plugs to foul. Also, bad points and condenser will cause the problem
I would do all that before changing jets. If you find that its the carb I would chage the intermediate jet, not the main jet. You bike runs on it most of the time, except at higher RPMs
