Questioni recently replaced the stator because it was burned out, and the new 1 has done the same thing but it only lasted a month before it stopped charging, it fried the connector block, and wiring, any ideas why it has done this so soon?
it was parked for a little while and i guess it had an oil leak, i rode it with the clutch slipping if pushed hard 20 miles, dnt know if they could be connected just thought i would mention it. Could low oil cause the problem?
AnswerSounds like your bike needs a good service, and possibly a new battery. stator's don't normally burn out, unless there is too high current flowing. Check for shorts in the wiring if your battery is known good. And yes, NEVER run with low oil. Good luck, Jan
