Motorcycle Repair: points, valve clearances, compression check

Question
Hello again mr. Silver. Im troubleshooting a rebuild I have been working on. It's a 1973 cb350g.
The ignition and valve timing are good, Im getting good spark, air and gas. Right point fires right plug, left for left.  Battery is new. I kick and kick and sometimes she woofs at me and backfires, but thats as exciting as it gets. Any ideas? Many thanks

Answer
Nate.... Did you take the spark advancer apart?  You have a 50-50 chance of putting it back right again....... If points are arcing heavily, you have loose condenser leads and/or bad condenser.

Got good compression? Check valve clearances. Marks at ends of adjuster shafts need to be pointed at -\    /- angles.  .002" intake and .004" exhausts.

Carbs overhauled? Idle jets must be clean and clear.
