Motorcycle Repair: rocker box leaks, bottom side, long trip

I have an 04 Ultra with 28K miles.  I am getting ready to take long trip and while cleaning, I noticed the rear, bottom side rocker box has a small leak.  Is this normal and, I am wondering if this is major ordeal or can I take my trip without worrying breakdown?  I am getting repaired but wondering how much time and mileage can I expect without repairing? Right now, it is just wet in the left rear corner of back rocker box

No leak is normal. You have a gaket that is leaking. You can still go on your trip as long as the leak does not bother you. It wont hurt anything except getting oil on the motor. Its hard to say how long it will just weep. Could be a year could be a month.
