Motorcycle Repair: follow up, wiring connector, connector plug

QUESTION: Hi mike. My coil has no posts on it. its a "screamin eagle" coil & is a sealed unit. the coil has the wiring connector plug with red, white & blue wires, but no posts on it. do i have to splice into one of the wires to connect the tach?

QUESTION: Would you happen to know which wire I need to splice into? Blue,red or white? I don't want to ruin this nice speedo!

Somebody, at some time, has changed the wires on your bike. You should have 2 white wires and 1 blue wire. You would first need to determine which wires are always hot. There should be two of them. Once you have them it should be the third wire that you connect to.
