Motorcycle Repair: Revtech coil, gmc 1500, elso

Question
So I went to start my 2001 1200 Sportster custom for my first ride of the season when I realized I left the battery connected all winter. Not knowing any better I jumped it with my 05 GMC 1500 probably frying a few things. I know that I cooked my coil, because when I went to pull a plug wire to check for spark (because it still wouldnt start) it was hot to touch. I checked it for resistance and found none so i pulled it and found a crack in its plastic coating. My ignition fuse kept blowing until I pulled the coil. Does that mean everything else is okay, or should I check something else before replacing the Revtech coil?
I wasnt smart enough to mark the wires before removing them- can you tell me where they go? I have a red and a black coming from the ignition module and a white/ black stripe one.
Thank you in advance- Al

Answer
Sounds like everything elso is probably ok, but the only way to be sure is to hook up the new coil and try it

Do you have a 3 post coil or a 2 post coil? When you get this you will have to gice me a call. I am going on vacation and you are not going to be able to write me back. You can call me on my cell at 740-360-9903 and I will help you
