Question
mike, i hear a rub in my front wheel, when pushing bike, it has 6100 miles, i think it is the brake pads ,please let me know the proper procedure to replace brake pads front and rear on a 2001 hd sportster, it is definetly not the bearings thanx dennis

Answer
You are going to hear the brake rubbing a little when you push it. All disk brakes do this. At 6000 miles they should not be worn out. Look at the caliper, with a flashlight, and you can see the pads. Check and see if they are worn out or not. If they are worn out the pad will be almost gone.
If they are worn out, then go to the caliper remove hte two bolts that hold it to the fork. Slide the caliper off. take a screwdrive and open the pads as far as they will go. Insert the new pads, just like the old ones came out and reinstall the caliper. Pump the brake so they close and your good to go
Good luck and happy riding
Mike
