Motorcycle Repair: Starting problems, jackshaft, starter relay

Question
Hey Mike,
I have a 95 Heritage and it ran great last year. I went to start it this year and the starter just spins. I read a another post about this same problem and my question is, can you tell me where to find the starter relay? I know what it looks like, but not sure what I need to take off, if anything to get to it. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Answer
If your starter is spinning then your relay is ok. With the bike sitting upright remove the derby cover at the back of the primary. Looking at the top of the clutch and slightly behind it you will see the jackshaft. Have somebody press the starter button. Is the jackshaft sliding over and connecting to the gear on the clutch?
