Motorcycle Repair: Starter problem!!!, trickle charge battery, starter button

Question
I own a '73 FL, with a kick and electric start.
ok, backround first-this just started happening for the first time, after riding it twice this season. It was stored in a storage unit-no trickle charge. Battery lost juice after attempting to start it several times, so I jumped it from my car-started no problem, rode it all day, no problems.
Second day-started fine. But that night, I hit the start button, and nothing. No clicking, nada. I role the bike back and forth about a foot, hit the starter button, and Bingo-she starts right up. This happened several times again, so I put it back in the garage-not taking any chances.
Help!

Answer
First you need to try to start it again. If it doesnt start then you need to check the following with a test light. Do you have power at the starter button? Do you have power at the starter relay from the starter button when you press it? Do you have power at the starter soldeoid when you press the starter button?
Let me know
