Motorcycle Repair: 1978 CB125S Seized Piston, transmission fluid, piston

Question
I received a 78 CB125S from my neighbor for free, it has under 4 thousand original miles and its been sitting under a tarp for many years in his backyard. The piston is seized and I tried a few tricks I heard from people to try and un-seize it without tearing it apart. I tried heating the cylinder with a torch while kicking it, I poured a little transmission fluid into the cylinder and let it sit for a few days then tried bump starting and kicking it with no luck. Is there any tricks you know of I can try that might work?

Answer
After what you have tried, time for tricks is pretty much over.  You'll need to take the top end apart and free things up.  The piston should move down the barrel OK, usually the oil stops corrosion from building up below the piston.  Then clean the barrel up, you may need to get it re-bored and reassemble.  The price will still be right...  Good luck,  Jan
