Motorcycle Repair: 98 custom 1200, starter switch, test light

I came back from a ride and all was fine. Went to fire her up the next day an nothing. I mean nothing. no spark , no lights, its like i am not there. Battery is fine, as it was tested, starter switch was replaced and still nothing. checked all fuses and all are fine. could it be my start and kill switch needs to be replaced? is there a test to find out if its good or not? Hope you can help me out on this as money is tight and i would like to try repair myself before i take her in.  Thank you for your time.

Start by checking, with test light,  to see if you have power going to the ignition switch and to see if you have power going away from it to the start/stop switch. If you have power then check the switch to see if you have power going away from it.
