Motorcycle Repair: 1994 HD Evolution, evolution question, honest opinion

QUESTION: Hello Mike

I would like to buy an HD 1994 evolution the bike rides well except slight missfire during start up.
I would like your honest opinion whether I should buy this bike if so what I should check to make sure the motor is in good condition.

ANSWER: how many miles are on it and what work has been done to it?

You never said how many miles ago the motor was rebuilt, but being a 1994 bike I think I wuold have  a shop check it over. Have the compression checked and check for any leaks. Leaks will cost you money later since they do get worse. Check the belt and make sure its good and no damage to it and its not cracked. Costs alot to replace it. See if the person youa re buying it from has any maintance records that you can look over
