Motorcycle Repair: 96 1200c sportster electric start, starter relay, oil light

my bike has always started easily and never any noises from the starter and today I turn the key and headlight and oil light come on as always but when I hit the button nothing happens not a sound and the light is bright like always is maybe there a fuse somewhere or could you kinda tell me what to look for or to do? because I didn't even ride it yesterday I just started it and warmed it up for about 5 minutes and shut it off and was on it today and ready to ride when this happened..LOL

Did you have the on/off switch in the on position? Look under the cover on the right and check the fuses. If the fuses are good then with a test light see if you have power goign to the starter relay and see if you have power going to the starter when you hit the starter button.
