Motorcycle Repair: 95 HONDA ACE 1100, honda ace, radiator fan

Question
I HAVE HAD THE SWITCH THAT TURNS ON THE RADIATOR FAN REPLACED 3 TIMES.  I ALWAYS END UP HAVING TO UNPLUG IT AND GROUND IT TO THE BODY FRAME TO KEEP IN ALWAYS 'ON'.  NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHY THIS KEEPS HAPPENING.  WHEN I GROUND THE FAN TO THE FRAME AND HAVE IT CONSTANTLY RUNNING, I NEVER HAVE A PROBLEM WITH OVER HEATING. THE BIKE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION AND HAS 42,000 MILES.
THANK YOU.

Answer
Hi David,

I don't have any experience with the Honda Ace. So I'm not sure if the rad fan switch is something that commonly fails on this bike?
I would talk to the dealer and find out if this is a common issue. If not, then I would check your wiring for a bad ground or a bad fuse.

Sorry this isn't much help.
