Motorcycle Repair: S&S problems, voes, intake manifold

Question
i have an 84 softail that has the S&S on it . it has never run right since it was installed. i just found out the people that installed it took the VOS off. it cranks fine but when throttling up when sitting still it stumbles real bad and on the highway it stumbles worse. Can the VOS cause this? where does the Vos hose connect on the carb?

Answer
It can. What the VOES does is change the timing when under throttle. It connects to the intake manifold by a hose in a nipple.
Once you have it connected see if it runs correct. If it doesnt, then the carb was probably not jetted correctly
Good luck and happy riding
