Motorcycle Repair: ignition wont turn to on postion, spare key, key hole

Question
I am just wondering is there any thing I can do before I have to buy a new ignition. The problem is that I can turn the key to every postion but the on postion. I would be thankful for any help you have to offer.

Hi Corey,

If you haven't done so, try spraying a small amount of lubricant into the key hole, work it around and see if it will turn properly. Also try using a spare key, if you have one.
If that doesn't work then I suspect that you will need to get a new ignition.
