Motorcycle Repair: 1999 Heritage Clutch Plate/Disks replacement, clutch plate, clutch plates

Hello Mike: Need to replace clutch plates/disks on 1999 Heritage. I currently own an 84 Shovel and have done all of my own work on that one...but the 99 Heritage is new territory for me. Can you provide some guidance here.

No problem. Drain the primary fluid. Remove the primary cover. In the center of the clutch you will see 4 bolts. remove them, evenly and that will let the pressure off the clutch spring. remove the plate and spring and the clutch plates will slide out. Make sure you soak the new plates in primary fluid before installing, for about 1/2 hour. Install the plates and the spring and spring plate, primary cover and fluid and your good to go
