Motorcycle Repair: 1979 honda motorcycle clutch, honda motorcycle, bike enthusiast

My aunt just gave me a 1979 Honda mototrcycle.she said the clutch needs to be adjusted because sometimes it goes from first gear to the highest gear when you shift it.  My question is how do i adjust the clutch and what tools do i need? thank you for your assistance in this matter i am a new rider and bike enthusiast

If it goes from first to the highest gear when you shift, this has nothing to do with the clutch.  There is either a really big problem with the gearbox, or the diagnosis is wrong.  I will need more detailed information before I can be of more help; like what bike is it?
