Motorcycle Repair: Clutch keeps coming out of adjustment, harley dealership, ape hangers

Question
I have a 2008 Softail Custom, I bought it from Harley and it was a rental. Every time I take it to Gregs Custom Cycles and have him adjust the clutch at the cable. I take off and before I can get to the Harley dealership the clutch is out of adjustment and the tension area is almost at the end and about 1/4 of tension. When I get to Harley they try to blame it on every after market item I have, fist time they blamed it on my Power Command, I can't see that being it.  Then I added some custom ape hangers and they blamed it on the NEW clutch cable. No mater what I do they will not cover it under warrenty they just keep dancing around.  Have you ever heard of this problem or have any idea what it could be? I have access to an entire motorcycle shop and can fix it if I can figure it out.  Could it be the throwout Bering?  My friend has the same problem on his Road King and replaced the clutch but it is still doing it on his as well.  Thanks for any help you can offer.

Answer
Its probably your throwout bearing. What you need to do is replace it as well as the clutch rod. the clutch rod is probably burned on the ends and if you just replace the throwout bearing the rods will continue to wear quickly
Good luck and happy riding
