Motorcycle Repair: to seafoam or not to seafoam?, time lol, vt 750 shadow

would you recommend using seafoam to clean the carbs on my bike, 2003 vt 750 shadow spirit? if not what are other alternative cleaners?

 Seafoam is allright for maintenance. However, if they are dirty enough to effect the way the bike runs , then you will need to take them apart and clean them...in this case seafoam is not good enough...use Berkbile 2+2 carb cleaner or Carb-medic ...keep in mind that you must disassemble the internals of the carbs and clean each piece as well as the inside of the body and the internal passage ways...pulling off the bowls and "hosing" them off will be just a waste of a lot of your time..lol...If you are not comfortable with that level of disassembly, then find someone to do it for you or take it to a dealer or bike shop...
